AAC Teaming
AAC is a small business enterprise that can bring substantive and
valuable resources to any planning, development, or design effort
involving acoustics, noise, or vibration. Our staff has worked on many
projects over the years as a sub-contractor or consultant team member
for several, large engineering, planning, and environmental firms
(please see our Client page for more info).
This broad experience allows us to excel in our role as being an
integrated member of a larger evaluation or design team, particularly in
the critical early stages of project design. We take great pride in
being pro-active, rather than reactive, members of the planning or
design team. While acoustical problems can be remedied at many stages of
a project, it is infinitely more effective when good acoustics are
properly designed into a project from the outset, rather than dealing
with issues after-the-fact on an expensive, retrofit basis. Our
objective is to work with the design, engineering, and project
management team from the earliest stages to foster design alternatives
that ensure appropriate acoustical performance, as well as optimum
facility functionality.
Sometimes, however, a project finds itself in a not-so-ideal situation.
AAC often assists clients in mid-stream during vendor equipment
procurement efforts, where our abilities as problem solvers and
negotiators have served to identify and remove the roadblocks that might
impede a project’s momentum. We are also proficient at coming into a
finished, operating facility after a problem has been identified and
successfully attacking the issue(s). Although the design-in options are
limited or precluded at that point, AAC experience and knowledge of
noise and vibration control techniques and materials results in timely,
effective, and economical mitigation alternatives; while minimizing
functionality impacts to the facility.
